Michael Perry remains No. 1 since the poll began 15 years ago, inspiring readers through his witty books and columns. The same runners-up from last year include family-man, B.J. Hollars – who in 2021 published a travelogue reccounting his adventures on the Oregon Trail with his son, Henry, and edited a collection of stories about Wisconsinites’ experiences with COVID-19.
