The CVTG opened its 40th year with the hilarious Arsenic and Old Lace at The Oxford. The charming Brewster sisters have been poisoning lonely old men, their brother thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt, their nephew resembles Boris Karloff, and Mortimer just wants to tell the world he is marrying Elaine. If you were at The Oxford in October, you were transported back in time to 1790 through the performance of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. At The Grand in November, a one-man show by Door Unlocked Productions starring Nate Plummer, made its ghostly presence known in A Christmas Carol. — Diana Peterson
