Best New Mural
This fall, a beautiful mural titled “Sanctuary” was created on the Graham Avenue-facing wall of The Fire House. Artist Sylvia Annelise Hecht worked with a team of local artists as part of a partnership between The Pablo Group and Downtown Eau Claire Inc. Readers voted the ColorBlock mural project, including “Melvin” by Chris Johnson and “Pride” by Alexis Olson, in second place. Another fall mural, Terry Meyer’s “Charging Troop,” which is on the back of Details on Water Street, galloped into third place. — Diana Peterson
