Plenty of folks are closing down the bar on any given weekend around here, and when it comes to the place you want to be at that 2am mark, Clancy’s (414 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire) takes the cake. The Irish-style watering hole has long served the area for a reason (not just because it has a pinball machine, but that’s cool too). It’s all in the name for the Five O’Clock Club (2240 Fenwick Ave., Eau Claire), a laid-back joint with regular karaoke with cheap drinks and good bartenders. The Mousetrap (311 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire), oh, my beloved Mousetrap. Catch a show, play some pool, or sit at the bar to close out your night — you can’t go wrong. —McKenna Scherer
