Chippewa County Sheriff Travis Hakes is well-liked by many of the county’s residents and always wears a smile. In second, Tammy Baldwin, Wisconsin’s long-time U.S. Senator, continues to work for Wisconsinites. And 93rd District Rep. Christian Phelps’s (who grew up in the Chippewa Valley, by the way) commitment to transparency, public school funding and an unapologetic pro-working-class agenda won him a spot in the House — and the third-place spot. —Amanda Polden
