The most memorable event of the past year was when the Cowboys willingly gave the Packers their best player, Micah Parsons, in exchange for draft capital. Thanks, Jerry! The second-most memorable event was when the 137-year-old Drummond House was struck by lightning and engulfed in flames. And in third place, Zorn Arena, Eau Claire’s first arena and the site of many history-making events — and basketball games — including commencement ceremonies, concerts, lectures and more is no more. This past summer, Zorn was demolished, and all events moved to The Sonnentag Center. —Amanda Polden
