Chippewa Vallians demand their tax dollars support the things they believe in, and can agree that supporting our public schools (first place) is the best use of that collective fund. And we love literacy and all the things our wonderful second-place L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library (400 Eau Claire St., Eau Claire) has to offer our community. And, being lovers of nature, we fully support our tax dollars going to our third-place city and county parks so people of all ages can enjoy nature without having to travel too far from home. —Amanda Polden
